I was joined in the studio today by Daniel Levin and Joshua. Daniel is a wonderful Cellist and all around good cat. He has a new disc out called Some Trees. He is also director of the orchestra and music programs at the Amistad School in New Haven. Joshua is a bass player and one of Mr. Levin's students. We played some of Daniel's music, some other cellists in Jazz, and spoke about the music in general. Writing down the playlist didn't quite happen.
